\"School's<\/a>Abaddon\u2019s \u2018Attack the Block meets Lord of the Flies\u2019 novel optioned by Multistory Films<\/h2>\n

Abaddon Books<\/a> is proud to announce that \u00a0it has struck a deal with\u00a0Multistory Films<\/a> to bring School\u2019s Out<\/a><\/em> by Scott Andrews<\/a> to the big screen.<\/p>\n

Attack the Block<\/em> meets Lord of the Flies<\/em> in a post-apocalyptic landscape\u00a0where pupils at a public school grow up fast or they don\u2019t grow up at all, School\u2019s Out<\/em> is one of the standout titles from Abaddon\u2019s successful Afterblight Chronicles<\/em> series.<\/p>\n

The books follows the final days of St Mark\u2019s School for Boys; and when your teachers are killing each\u00a0other, the prefect is experimenting with crucifixion, and the rival gang from across town has decided that\u00a0ritualistic cannibalism is the way to go, spots and BO don\u2019t seem like such big problems any more.<\/p>\n

Multistory Films is a new UK-based production company, which has just completed post-production on its\u00a0debut feature film, low budget horror thriller The Harsh Light of Day<\/a><\/em>. This will be closely followed by art\u00a0house feature Verity\u2019s Summer<\/a><\/em>; written and directed by Short film Palme D\u2019Or nominee Benjamin Crowe<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Jonathan Oliver, editor-in-chief of Abaddon Books, said:\u201cWe\u2019re delighted that the quality of Scott\u2019s work on <\/em>School\u2019s Out has been recognised \u2013 it\u2019s a great novel\u00a0and a cracking read that never lets up.
